SCIUG MEETING AT SOKA UNIVERSITY, OCTOBER 11TH, 2007

Once a year UC Riverside's Theadora (Terry) Toy coordinates a Southern California Innovative User's Group meeting where, in the morning, the Representatives of the Innovative Interfaces library system describe existing software, upgrades, and their newest products, and in the afternoon, breakout sessions avail users of specialized instruction or focused question and answer periods.
This year Tanya and I were accompanied by our newest library staff: Andria Varner, Ja'Nean Palacios, and Diana Quevado which, combined with the fabulous atmosphere, tasty food, and particularly interesting sessions, made the experience all the more festive.
Tanya and I, as always, brought our cameras, so here are a few of my shots of the lovely Soka University.

Founder's Hall where our meeting took place.

The lobby of Founder's Hall is open to the upper levels of the building. Looking over the railing is the view of the lobby. This view crosses the open expanse to rooms off the second floor entry. The blue glass art work in the center performs as a showpeice here on the second floor gallery as well as for the 1st floor art gallery above which it is suspended.

Room 322, where the morning session was held as well as the informative breakout session entitled "Playing with Matches".

OK, sorry. Blogger is currently refusing to load more images, so rather than risk all of them dissapearing, as happened earlier this week, after I battled with this behavior--resulting in my to having to reload my Romney images, I'll finish this later in a new post.

TO BE CONTINUED . . .
