May's Spring Fling

I thought I was behind in the Home Home on the Range blog, but the posting on this one is even older! Nothing since January. I'd started with a bit of a theme, showing the route to and from work. I'd hoped to show the route again after the freeway was completed, but yeah, driving and photographing were never intended to be done simultaneously. I figure I was lucky to get away with it once. Traffic had been slow, etc. But now that the freeway is complete, traffic moves at a reasonable pace, and not only is it unsafe to take pics, it's not really possible to get anything more than blurs of this or that.
That's fine. There's much more interesting things than the drive anyway.
Take the "Spring Fling" for example. A week or so before the semester ends Chapman throws a little celebratory "Spring Fling" where students gather, socialize, slide, eat free lunch from a number of food stands, listen to bands, dance, bounce, fling themselves upside down, and just have a general good time.

Gather

Socialize

Bounce and slide

Eat

Fling themselves upside-down

Listen to music and dance (see YouTube below--sorry, no sound.)

And just have a general good time

Sorry there's no sound, but in case you don't recognize the moves, it's the Charleston, if that helps.
